Accra: Alec Baldwin has assured fans he is 'fine' after crashing his car into a 'big fat tree' while attempting to avoid a rubbish collection lorry. The incident occurred while Baldwin was visiting the Hamptons with his brother, actor Stephen Baldwin.
According to Ghana News Agency, the 30 Rock star shared a video on Instagram explaining the situation. He mentioned that he was on Long Island with his brother for the Hamptons International Film Festival when the accident took place. Baldwin described the moment, stating, "This morning I was in a car accident, this guy cut me off in a truck." He emphasized the size of the truck, calling it "a garbage truck the size of a whale."
Baldwin recounted that in his effort to avoid the truck, he ended up hitting a tree, which resulted in significant damage to his wife's car. He expressed regret over the incident, saying, "I crushed my wife's car and I feel bad about that. But it's all fine and I'm fine and my brother's fine."
Baldwin reported the incident to the East Hamptons Police Department, noting that the vehicle suffered extensive damage due to the collision with the "big fat tree." Despite the mishap, Baldwin assured fans of his well-being and spoke about returning to Los Angeles, expressing affection for his wife, Hilaria. He also praised her recent participation in Dancing With the Stars, saying, "Hilaria, I love you more than anything and I'm very proud of you."
Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria have seven children together, in addition to Baldwin's daughter, Ireland Baldwin, from his previous marriage to Kim Basinger.
