African Development Bank President Mourns Ghana Helicopter Crash Victims

Accra: The President of the African Development Bank Group, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, has extended heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Ghana following Wednesday's tragic helicopter crash, which claimed the lives of eight people, including two ministers.

According to Ghana News Agency, Dr. Adesina expressed deep sadness over the helicopter crash that resulted in the loss of eight lives, among them Ghana's Defence Minister Edward Omane Boamah and Environment Minister Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed. He described the incident as devastating news and a national tragedy.

Dr. Adesina, in his statement released shortly after the news of the crash emerged, conveyed that during this time of national grief and mourning, he, along with his wife Grace, the African Development Bank's staff, Management, and Boards of Directors, offered heartfelt condolences to President John Mahama, the bereaved families, and the entire Government and people of Ghana.

He concluded his message with a prayer for strength and comfort for the affected families and wished that the souls of the departed rest in peace.
