UENR Students Engage in Practical Learning at Twyford Ceramics Factory

Aboadze: Students from the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) have undertaken an industrial tour of Twyford Ghana Ceramics Company Limited's Sanitary Ware Factory in Aboadze, Western Region, to bridge academic knowledge with practical industry experience. The visit provided students with firsthand exposure to Twyford's manufacturing processes and technology, demonstrating how raw materials are converted into tiles and sanitary ware products for both local and international markets.

According to Ghana News Agency, the students learned about the company's operations, corporate culture, and potential career paths for young professionals. A significant moment during the tour was a session with a Twyford employee who is also a UENR alumnus. He shared his career journey, aiming to inspire the visiting students.

Twyford, a prominent ceramics manufacturer in West Africa with a workforce exceeding 4,000, emphasized its dedication to nurturing young talent and strengthening the link between academia and industry. The management expressed gratitude to UENR's faculty and students for their visit and encouraged them to consider future careers in the ceramics sector.
