Trump has reiterated the USA's recognition of Moroccan sovereignty over the Sahara and its support for the Moroccan Autonomy Proposal 'as the only basis for a just and lasting solution to the dispute'.
According to Ghana News Agency, President Trump emphasized the United States' recognition of Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara and expressed support for Morocco's Autonomy Proposal, describing it as serious, credible, and realistic. He conveyed this in his message to the Sovereign, highlighting the proposal as the sole foundation for a fair and enduring resolution to the conflict.
President Trump extended his congratulations on behalf of the United States to HM the King and the Moroccan people. He affirmed the strong and lasting partnership between the two nations, acknowledging their joint efforts in advancing peace and security in the region. These efforts include building upon the Abraham Accords, combating terrorism, and expanding commercial cooperation that benefits both Americans and Moroccans.
The USA President concluded by expressing his anticipation of continued collaboration with Morocco to promote regional stability, prosperity, and peace.
