Akwatia: The Akwatia District Police Command on Thursday launched investigations into an alleged assault on Alhaji Masawudu Osman, the third National Vice Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Akwatia in the Eastern Region.
According to Ghana News Agency, a statement signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police, David Fianko Okyere, Public Affairs Officer of the Eastern South Region, indicated that a Police Medical Form was issued to the complainant to seek treatment. The statement outlined that Alhaji Masawudu is required to obtain a medical endorsement and return the form to the police to aid further investigations.
The case has since been referred to the Eastern South Regional Police Command for continuation of investigations.
