Bodi: The Bodi District Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has recently held an inter-party dialogue for parliamentary candidates at Sefwi Bodi. The purpose of the meeting was to devise strategies to ensure peace during the upcoming general elections.According to Ghana News Agency, the meeting served as a platform for participants to engage in dialogue and foster collaborations aimed at addressing electoral concerns. The goal was to promote peaceful elections within the constituency. Mr. Emmanuel Awortwe, the Bodi District NCCE Director, emphasized that the meeting was part of the Commission's proactive measures to ensure peace and political stability before, during, and after the elections.Mr. Awortwe highlighted the importance of organizing the upcoming elections on December 7 in a peaceful atmosphere. He urged political parties to focus on issue-based campaigns that would contribute to the development of the Bodi District.Mr. Nicholas Andoh, the New Patriotic Party parl iamentary candidate for Bodi, committed to advocating for peace among his followers to ensure a violence-free election process. He emphasized the significance of maintaining peace before, during, and after the December 7 polls.Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Michael Adjei Perry, the Bodi District Police Commander, reinforced the necessity for all participants to conduct themselves peacefully and orderly during the elections. The event was attended by Mrs. Mary Ampah, the District Electoral Officer, representatives from the Sefwi Bodi Chief's Palace, the Clergy, Civil Society Organizations, the Muslim community, artisans, students, the media, and members of the public.
