Accra: Bringing up children is not a mere rhetoric, stated Right. Rev. Dr. Lt. Col. (Rtd) Bliss Divine Agbeko, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana. He emphasized that every child is a special gift from God, underscoring the importance of nurturing them carefully.

According to Ghana News Agency, Rt. Rev. Dr. Lt. Col. Agbeko delivered this message during the Children Ministry week celebration, launched across all congregations of the Church. The event revolves around the theme, "Care for Creation: The task and mission of the Church." The Moderator reminded parents of their duty to rear children in a godly manner, ensuring they remain steadfast throughout their lives.

He advised parents to train children through love and discipline, serving as examples for them to follow. This duty aligns with the event's theme, emphasizing that children deserve conscious attention. The nurturing they receive today will empower them to contribute to the church and society in the future.

Children were encouraged to showcase their talents during the event and to trust in God as they prepare for their future. The Moderator expressed gratitude to children service teachers for their dedication, acknowledging their crucial role in the spiritual growth of future church leaders.
