Accra: The Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, led by Minister Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, is preparing to organise a high-level national agribusiness dialogue. The event, scheduled for June, aims to restructure and revitalise Ghana’s agribusiness ecosystem.
According to Ghana News Agency, the dialogue will provide a national platform for stakeholders across the agribusiness value chain to collaboratively shape the future of the sector by contributing to the development of a National Agribusiness Strategy. In preparation for this strategic engagement, the Minister convened a stakeholder planning session, bringing together industry experts, private sector players, financial institutions, policymakers, academia, and development partners. They shared insights and strategised to promote growth and prosperity for businesses in the sector.
The dialogue is expected to mark a significant step toward positioning agribusiness as a key driver of economic growth, job creation, and sustainable industrial development in Ghana. Minister Ofosu-Adjare stated that the National Agribusiness Dialogue would serve as a platform to reset Ghana’s agribusiness sector toward inclusive and sustainable growth. She commended stakeholders for their commitment and emphasised the importance of generating lasting solutions to the persistent challenges hindering the agribusiness sector.
