Berekum: The Berekum branch of Melcom Ghana in the Bono Region has initiated a blood donation campaign aimed at supporting the blood bank of the Berekum Holy Family Hospital.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Yusif Suleman, the Assistant Manager at the Berekum Branch of Melcom Ghana, stated that the campaign aligns with the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts to enhance healthcare delivery services at the hospital.
During a ceremony in Berekum, Mr. Suleman encouraged community members to participate in the campaign and contribute to replenishing the hospital’s blood bank. He assured attendees that donors would receive packages from Melcom as a token of appreciation.
Mr. Williams Ansu, a Laboratory Technician at the Berekum Holy Family Hospital, highlighted the urgent need for blood at the facility and expressed gratitude towards Melcom Ghana for organizing the campaign. He refuted rumors about the sale of blood by the hospital and appealed to the community to support the initiative by donating blood.
