MCE Urges Public to Observe National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving Service

Bibiani: Mr Sebastian Obeng, Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has asked the public to participate in the maiden National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving service to deepen the nation's cohesion and unity. The service, slated for July 1, 2025, would be held on the theme: 'Reflect, Reset and Renewal for National Prosperity.'

According to Ghana News Agency, the MCE stated that the Day would mark a pivotal moment in the nation's spiritual and economic progress, national unity, and divine intervention for Ghana's prosperity. 'This national prayers will transform the country, and ensure President Mahama's vision of resetting agenda is achieved,' Mr Obeng stated.

He emphasized that when a country paused to acknowledge the Almighty and opened itself up to restoration, wisdom, purpose, and future of the nation would be prosperous. He said: 'Ghana continues to be a shining light of peace and constitutional order within Africa, so I call on citizens, especially those in Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai to remain vigilant, prayerful, and united.'

Mr Obeng appealed to religious bodies, civil society groups, political leaders, and other relevant stakeholders to lend their voices and presence to the day's observation to seek the strength and spiritual innovations for the future of the nation.
