Maaha Beach Resort Not Fully Destroyed by Fire, Operations Continue Undisturbed

Maaha Beach Resort: The Management of Maaha Beach Resort has assured the public that there is no disruption in business despite a recent fire incident at the resort on May 28, 2025.

According to Ghana News Agency, a statement signed by Madam Sylvia Osei Mensah, the General Manager of Maaha Beach Resort, indicated that the facility has remained stable since the unfortunate incident and continues to provide services to its clients. The statement explained that the fire originated from a nearby resort and quickly spread due to its proximity to the premises.

Management clarified that the resort comprises 25 individual structures, of which only one was affected by the fire. This clarification counters unverified reports circulating on social media that suggested the entire resort was destroyed.

The statement noted that despite rapid intervention by emergency services and the resort's internal safety team, the affected structure was completely consumed by the flames. However, it confirmed that there were no casualties or injuries, as all guests and staff were evacuated safely and efficiently.

Management expressed their gratitude toward the emergency responders and community members who helped contain the fire and ensured everyone's safety. The statement also emphasized that while this incident posed a challenge, the resort remains committed to rebuilding and prioritizing the safety and well-being of their guests, staff, and community.
