Let’s Commit Ourselves to Our Values as Ghanaians – Director

Kadjebi: Mr. Cletus Chevure, Kadjebi District Co-ordinating Director (DCD), has urged Ghanaians to recommit themselves to the values that have always defined Ghanaians. "Let us work together to create a Ghana that is just, equitable, and prosperous for all," he said. Mr. Chevure made this statement during the observation of the 68th Independence Day anniversary at Kadjebi in the Oti Region.

According to Ghana News Agency, the DCD also encouraged the citizens to harness the country's natural resources, human capital, and technological prowess to drive innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development. Mr. Chevure emphasized the significance of the words of Ghana's first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, stating, "The independence of Ghana is meaningless unless it is linked up with the total liberation of the African continent." He called for a renewed commitment to the vision of a united, prosperous, and peaceful Africa.

The district commemorated the day with a clean-up exercise and a quiz competition involving four basic schools. Notable attendees included the Kadjebi District Police Commander, Supt. Frank Nana Asomaning, the Kadjebi District Director of Education, Mr. Seth Seyram Deh, and Mr. Daniel Agbesi Latsu, Kadjebi NCCE District Director, among others.
