KNUST Wins 2025 Tertiary Business Sense Challenge

Accra: The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Business School has emerged victorious in the seventh edition of the Tertiary Business Sense Challenge (TBSC) with 77.17 points. KNUST outperformed the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), which secured 54 points, and the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), which came in third with 51.83 points. The final competition took place at Zenith University College in Accra.

According to Ghana News Agency, the event was organized by Graphic Business and consisted of six rounds that included presentations, business case analysis, and riddles. KNUST was awarded a golden trophy, medals, laptops, books from the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG), and a cash prize.

Mr. Franklin Sowa, Director of Marketing and Sales at Graphic Communications Group Limited, stated that the competition aimed to enhance financial literacy and practical business knowledge among tertiary students. He emphasized the lasting impact of the TBSC and encouraged all tertiary institutions to participate, highlighting the importance of networking for future business collaborations.

Madam Paula Adum-Yeboah of PwC Ghana noted that the competition aligns with PwC's strategy to empower future leaders with essential skills and the mindset necessary to build a resilient workforce. Meanwhile, Madam Elizabeth Frempong of CompuGhana expressed excitement about the challenge's potential impact on shaping Ghana's technological future, underscoring the role of creativity and innovation.

This year's TBSC saw participation from over 26 institutions and included business case presentations assessed by panels, computer literacy training, and mentorship sessions with industry professionals.
