Dambai: Imam Tajudeen Osman of Dambai has appealed to Ahlussana Wal Jama’ah worshippers in Krachi East to prioritise feeding the poor and needy during the Eid al-Adha celebrations than self-aggrandisement. Emphasizing the significance of charity and kindness, Imam Osman encouraged Muslims to share their blessings with those less fortunate, promoting a sense of community and compassion.
According to Ghana News Agency, the member of parliament (MP) for Krachi East constituency, Mr. Nelson Kofi Djabab, extended his warmest wishes to Muslims in the area as they celebrate Eid al-Adha. He emphasized the significance of the occasion, which commemorates the acts of faith and selfless sacrifices of prophet Mohammed.
Mr. Djabab also took the opportunity to highlight the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government’s commitment to the Muslim community, citing the reduction in Haj fare under the leadership of president, John Dramani Mahama as a testament to the party’s love and support for Muslims.
Nana Kwaku Beyennor II, the chief of Dambai, called on Imams and Ahaji’s in Krachi East to emphasise the importance of peace and unity in their sermons and teachings.
