Ho Municipal General Assembly Unanimously Confirms Stephen Adom

Accra: Mr Stephen Adom, the Ho Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) nominee, has been unanimously approved by the General Assembly. He secured 43 'Yes' votes out of the total votes cast, representing a full 100 percent approval.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Adom expressed that the confirmation had finalized all processes involved in the race for the MCE position. He called for collective efforts to aid in the development of the Municipality. His plans include initiatives ranging from agriculture to scholarship schemes benefiting everyone in the Municipality.

Mr Adom highlighted that his nomination was a sign of the confidence President John Dramani Mahama had in him. He pledged to serve with dedication and humility, stating that the unanimous approval was significant to him.

Mr James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister, remarked on the financial difficulties faced by most Assemblies and emphasized the need to work tirelessly to improve their financial standing. Despite challenges and differences in the nine Assemblies that confirmed their respective nominees, they united to ensure the development of their areas.

Mr Gunu also mentioned that the development of the Volta Region should begin from the regional capital, which would then have a positive impact on other Municipals and Districts in the Region.
