Accra: President John Dramani Mahama has announced the appointment of Dr Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, currently serving as Finance Minister, to also assume the role of Acting Defence Minister. This decision comes in the wake of a tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of the substantive ministers.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, who is the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, has been asked to take on the additional responsibility of Acting Minister for Environment, Science and Technology. This appointment is likewise effective until further notice.
The statement regarding these appointments was issued by Mr Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Presidential Spokesman and Minister of State in-charge of Government Communications.
