Krachi East: Mr Jonathan Dzunu, a former president of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG), has officially taken charge as the new Director of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) for the Krachi East Municipality in the Oti Region.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Dzunu outlined his key priorities for the Municipality, which includes preventing disasters, responding to emergencies, providing relief and recovery efforts, and coordinating the efforts of various stakeholders. Mr Dzunu, also a politician, pledged to strengthen the capacity of NADMO staff and stakeholders through training and capacity-building programs.
He also emphasised the importance of monitoring and evaluating disaster management programs to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Additionally, Mr Dzunu stressed that his office would engage in vigorous public education campaigns to raise awareness about disaster risks and prevention measures. With his wealth of experience, Mr Dzunu is poised to make a positive impact on disaster management in the Krachi East Municipality. He therefore called on the public to collaborate with his office in his quest to achieve the reset agenda.
