The student, identified as Nicholas Kumi, was found deceased on Wednesday, April 16, in what is suspected to be a suicide related to a broken heart.
According to Ghana News Agency, the police retrieved the body from Guss Hostel at the North Campus of the university after receiving a report from the institution. The deceased was discovered by the police wearing a blue and white tracksuit, hanging with a blue sponge tied around his neck and fastened to a washroom shower pole.
