Sunyani: Ecobank Ghana has invested $300,000 to promote clean transportation and e-mobility solutions in the country, Mr. Mohammed Awudu, the Sunyani Branch Manager of Ecobank Ghana, has said. The bank is focusing on the development of Electric Vehicles (EVs), electric bikes, and building essential infrastructure of charging stations to enhance e-mobility in Ghana.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Awudu highlighted that besides economic growth, job creation, and development, the bank aims to offer eco-friendly mobility options for its customers. He emphasized the bank's commitment to supporting sustainable transportation solutions, which are expected to reduce carbon emissions, improve urban transportation systems, and stimulate job creation in Ghana's expanding green economy.
Mr. Awudu further explained that the bank is conducting a nationwide campaign to educate the public on the long-term benefits of sustainable transportation, with the goal of increasing adoption across different sectors. He noted that Ecobank Ghana's suite of electronic products is accessible to individuals, micro, small and medium enterprises, as well as large corporates and multi-nationals.
