Disaster Prevention Education is My Priority – Kadjebi NADMO Director

Kadjebi: Mr. Reuben Kemavor, the newly appointed Kadjebi District Director of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), has declared that his primary focus will be on disaster prevention engagement. He emphasizes that preventative measures are crucial as they save lives and property, while also minimizing casualties and injuries.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Kemavor shared his priorities in an interview conducted at Kadjebi in the Oti Region. The District Director, who is newly appointed, expressed that his role comes at an opportune time, allowing him to concentrate on enhancing preventative education alongside disaster management efforts.

Mr. Kemavor, who previously served as a School Improvement Support Officer with the Ghana Education Service, highlighted the extensive damage disasters can inflict on homes, businesses, and infrastructure. He stressed the importance of preventive measures in mitigating such damages, which in turn could lead to reduced repair costs.

He also expressed optimism about the Reset Agenda by President John Dramani Mahama, stating it would rejuvenate NADMO's functionality, aiding in the organization's disaster management and prevention efforts.
