Berekum East MP Undertakes Reconstruction of Collapsed Papaase Bridge

Berekum: Elder Simon Ampaabeng Kyeremeh, the Member of Parliament for Berekum East constituency in the Bono Region, is spearheading the reconstruction of a wooden bridge on the Berekum-Kotaa road. The bridge at Papaase collapsed due to a recent downpour, severing connections to several farming communities and prompting a public outcry.

According to Ghana News Agency, during an inspection visit, Elder Kyeremeh expressed concern over the bridge's condition, which had disrupted community connectivity and hindered both movement and economic activities. He stated that the reconstruction was part of his Election 2024 promise and assured that the project would be completed and handed over soon.

Elder Kyeremeh emphasized the significance of the area as a food basket for the Municipality, highlighting the need to improve the road and transportation infrastructure. He reiterated his commitment to addressing the development needs of his constituents.
