Koforidua: The Third Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Local Government Service Engineers Association (LOGSEA) is scheduled for Friday, August 29, 2025, as announced by Mr. Richard Ben Debrah, the National President of LOGSEA.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Debrah highlighted in an interview that the AGM will take place in Koforidua, the Eastern Regional capital. The theme for the meeting is 'Equipping the Engineering Departments of the Local Government Service for Sustainable Infrastructure Delivery in the MMDAs.' The gathering aligns with the association's legal mandate to address emerging challenges in the sector and emphasizes the association's commitment to promoting climate-resilient infrastructure development across the country.
The meeting aims to bring employers' attention to the critical need for resources and logistics, which are essential for engineers to perform their duties effectively and ensure sustainable physical infrastructure development. Mr. Debrah expressed concern over the recurring flooding issues in the country, stating that with adequate resources, the association could better contribute to managing such disasters.
He further noted that with the availability of resources, the association would be able to effectively monitor and supervise projects, thereby reducing the occurrence of substandard work in the construction sector.
