Anloga Assembly Urged to Endorse DCE Nominee Sandra Kpedor

Anloga: Mr. Joseph Kwabla Kpatah, the Presiding Member of Anloga District Assembly, has expressed strong support for Madam Sandra Seyram Kpedor, the nominee for the District Chief Executive (DCE) position, urging the assembly members to endorse her candidacy.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Kpatah, who was also a contender for the DCE role, highlighted Madam Kpedor's leadership capabilities and strategic vision for the district's growth. He emphasized her proficiency in lobbying as instrumental for the district's development. Mr. Kpatah stated that the widespread acceptance of Madam Kpedor's nomination is a testament to her potential to address both challenges and opportunities in the district.

Mr. Kpatah detailed that the approval process for the DCE nominee is set to take place on Thursday, April 10, with the participation of 41 eligible assembly members, which includes 28 elected members and 18 government appointees. He called for public support to bolster the endorsement process. The focus areas for the DCE nominee include infrastructure improvements, such as roads, water, and electricity, alongside enhancing education and healthcare services.

He stressed the importance of backing Madam Kpedor, not just for her leadership skills and vision, but also for promoting agricultural and economic development, which are crucial for job creation and stimulating growth within the district. Mr. Kpatah is optimistic about a smooth confirmation process, expecting a two-thirds majority vote in favor of Madam Kpedor.

The Volta Region has witnessed significant endorsements for Municipal and District Chief Executive nominees, with Anloga and Keta anticipates similar outcomes. Assembly members expressed confidence in Madam Kpedor's ability to positively impact the district's development, citing her leadership and vision as key factors in attracting investment and improving residents' quality of life.

While some residents have mixed feelings about her nomination, there is a general belief that Madam Kpedor's potential, coupled with adequate support and resources, will be pivotal in driving sustainable growth and development in Anloga District.
