Agyenim-Boateng Advocates for SOEs to Partner with SIC Insurance PLC

Accra: Mr James Agyenim-Boateng, the Acting Managing Director of SIC Insurance PLC, has encouraged state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and institutions with state interests to insure their ventures with SIC Insurance PLC. A statement issued by SIC Insurance PLC, copied to the Ghana News Agency, detailed Mr Agyenim-Boateng's remarks during a courtesy visit to Madam Emeafa Hardcastle, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Commission, Ghana, held at the Commission's head office in Accra.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Agyenim-Boateng emphasized the stability and financial strength of SIC Insurance PLC, highlighting its record of timely claims payments. His visit aimed at fostering closer collaboration with the Petroleum Commission and seeking support from its Chief Executive Officer to ensure SIC Insurance PLC not only covers the Commission's assets but also becomes a prominent provider of insurance services in the oil and gas sector.

Mr Agyenim-Boateng expressed his dedication to reclaiming significant insurance accounts that had been previously diverted from SIC Insurance PLC. He called on Chief Executive Officers, particularly those heading SOEs, to support the state insurer in repositioning itself as the leading insurance provider in the country.
