Accra: The African Trade Chamber is set to launch the inaugural Africa Trade Summit on September 18, 2025, at the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) Conference Centre. This preliminary event will lead up to the main Summit in November 2025, emphasizing the Chamber's mission to stimulate private-sector-led growth and enhance Africa's position in the global trade arena.

According to Ghana News Agency, the launch will witness the participation of industry leaders, government representatives, and trade institutions. Organizations expected to attend include the Pharmaceutical Association of Manufacturers, Chamber of Bulk Oil Distribution, Association of Ghana Industries, AfCFTA Secretariat, Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, Ghana Free Zones Authority, Association of Ghana Banks, and Ghana Chamber of Commerce.

The Summit aims to focus on building competitive value chains and boosting intra-African trade, particularly in sectors such as manufacturing, mining, energy, agriculture, health, logistics, and infrastructure. "The launch will also present the Chamber's vision as a continental hub for trade facilitation, where businesses, policymakers, and investors converge to shape Africa's economic transformation," the statement read.

The event will include dialogues with Heads of States, Ministers, and CEOs, along with Business to Business and Business to Government matchmaking sessions. Additionally, there will be forums on energy, logistics, and mining, coupled with an exhibition and the Africa Trade Awards Gala.
