Adaklu: Mr. Jerry Ameko, the Adaklu District Chief Executive, emphasized his commitment to teamwork and transparent governance. He urged support from key stakeholders, including Assembly Members, traditional authorities, religious leaders, civil society organizations, and youth groups to realize this vision.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Ameko made these remarks during a meeting with the management and staff of the Adaklu District Assembly and Decentralized Departments as part of his familiarization tour. He praised the workers for accepting postings to a district perceived as deprived and for their ongoing efforts. The DCE encouraged the staff to remain focused on delivering quality service to the people of Adaklu.
At the District Education Directorate, Mr. Ameko recognized the significant role of education in the district's development. He assured staff of his willingness to support initiatives aimed at improving educational outcomes and addressing challenges in local schools. He highlighted Adaklu's past achievement as the best district in the Basic Education Certificate Examination and expressed confidence in reclaiming that status with collaborative efforts.
Mr. Ameko reiterated his vision to build a united and progressive Adaklu. He committed to working closely with stakeholders across education, health, security, and administration sectors to achieve this goal. During his visit to the District Health Directorate, he promised support in enhancing healthcare delivery.
The DCE also visited the Fire Service, National Ambulance Service, Police Service, National Disaster Management Organization, and National Identification Authority. He commended these institutions for their public service dedication and pledged support for capacity building and logistics enhancement.
In his interaction with police personnel, Mr. Ameko assured collaboration to ensure peace and safety in the district. Mr. Sylvanus Plaha, the Adaklu District Coordinating Director, congratulated Mr. Ameko on his nomination and endorsement as DCE and assured him of the workers' readiness to support his vision.
