Abutia Teti: The 15th Ho East Presbytery Synod of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana is scheduled to open at Abutia Teti in the Ho West District of the Volta Region on Thursday, May 8, 2025. The three-day event will focus on the theme ‘Care for Creation: The Task and Mission of the Church.’
According to Ghana News Agency, Rev. Richard Mawutor Buamah, the Acting Clerk of the Presbytery, announced the upcoming synod in Ho. The event will be chaired by Rev. George Akuamuah-Boateng, the Moderator of the Presbytery. As a precursor to the synod, a pre-synod crusade will take place from Tuesday to Thursday at 1900 hours each evening, featuring door-to-door evangelism, healing, and deliverance sessions.
Rev. Buamah outlined that the official opening of the Synod would occur on Friday, May 9th, at 0900 hours, followed by a plenary session continuing through Saturday, May 10th. The Synod will conclude with a thanksgiving service on Sunday, May 11, 2025.
The event will feature Mr. James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister, as the Guest of Honour. The General Assembly Executives of the church are also anticipated to attend the Synod. Delegates include Presbytery executives, all Pastors in the Presbytery, a Catechist, a Presbyter, one youth and Treasurer each from all Pastoral districts and Parishes, representatives of Church groups, and heads of the Church’s institutions in the Presbytery.
Rev. Buamah encouraged all delegates to ensure timely attendance and contribute to the success of the Synod.
