Agortime Ziope: Mr. Eric Opoku Agyarko, Agortime Cluster Manager of World Vision Ghana, has urged the youth to actively seek career guidance as a crucial step in their life journey. He emphasized that career guidance plays a vital role in enabling individuals to make informed decisions regarding their education and professional paths, ultimately leading to more fulfilling and successful careers.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Agyarko delivered this message during a Career Day event organized by World Vision Ghana in Dramave, a farming community within the Agortime Ziope District of the Volta Region. He highlighted the significance of the event, noting that it provided young attendees with the opportunity to explore and envision their future aspirations and work towards achieving them.
Mr. Agyarko further explained that World Vision Ghana's mission is to support children in living life to the fullest. This mission is realized by continuously providing quality education, safe water, and promoting sanitation and hygiene. He encouraged the youth to maintain self-belief, focus, and discipline while avoiding actions that could potentially harm their future prospects and hinder their development.
The Manager also appealed to parents and caregivers, urging them to offer necessary support and guidance to their children. He stressed the importance of steering them onto the right path to help them easily achieve their visions and ambitions.
Various speakers at the event, including engineers, police officers, and nurses, echoed the call for the youth to make wise life choices to secure their future. Veronica Anyomi, a Family Health Nurse at the Agortime Ziope Health Centre, advised participants to build a strong foundation by concentrating on their studies and avoiding negative influences.
