Women’s Ministry of Global Evangelical Church Calls for Equal Rights for Women

Accra: The Women's Ministry of the Global Evangelical Church has called for equal rights and protection for women and girls as the world celebrates International Women's Day.

According to Ghana News Agency, in a statement signed by Reverend Mrs. Patricia Akpene Tegbe-Agbo, the National Coordinator of the Women's Ministry, Global Evangelical Church, the Ministry honored the divine strength, resilience, and grace that women and girls embody in every corner of the world. It acknowledged that each woman is made in the image of God, equipped with unique gifts and talents meant to bring forth transformation and light.

'On this International Women's Day 2025, I stand with you all in celebration and solidarity as we reflect on this year's theme: 'For All Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment,' the statement said. Mrs. Patricia Akpene Tegbe-Agbo emphasized that every woman is empowered and created in the image of God, and it is with this truth in mind that the Ministry commits itself to continue advocating for the rights, equality, and empowerment of all women and girls, both within and outside of the Church.

She highlighted that the Women's Ministry of the Global Evangelical Church has witnessed incredible growth in faith, leadership, and unity. 'We have seen how empowered women have become powerful agents of change, shaping families, communities, and nations with the love and wisdom of Christ,' she said.

Mrs. Tegbe-Agbo also recognized the deep work that still lies ahead, noting that there are still barriers to break, voices that need to be heard, and spaces where women and girls must be welcomed with open arms. She reminded every woman of their value and worth, calling on them to make an impact. 'May we continue to be advocates for justice, agents of change, and champions of equality, creating spaces where every woman and girl can thrive in her God-given potential,' she concluded.
