Accra: VFS Global has expressed its confidence in providing a world-class service experience to applicants at the newly established Ultra Centre for Licensing and Vehicle Registration in Accra. Mr. Alok Singhal, Head of Sub-Saharan Africa at VFS Global, emphasized the company's commitment to leveraging its global experience to offer transparent and scalable solutions in citizen services.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Singhal made these remarks during a visit to the Driver and Vehicle License Authority (DVLA) Ultra Centre, operated in collaboration with Bridge Direct and VFS Global. Since July 2024, the Centre has enabled citizens and residents of Accra to conveniently apply for vehicle and driver's licenses. The facility is designed to offer a comfortable and efficient environment, promising personalized experiences and handling higher application volumes with faster processing times.
The Centre provides a range of key services, including Driver's Licence Renewal, Replacement of Licenses, Amendments of records, Missing Licence handling, International Driving Permit, Foreign License Conversion, Vehicle Registration, and International Vehicle Permit. Mr. Foster Akwasi Asante, Esq, Deputy Chief Executive of DVLA, highlighted the importance of these services in meeting DVLA's vision of bringing world-class services closer to the people and ensuring proper certification of drivers.
Mr. Asante further encouraged the public to utilize the Ultra Centres for driver license acquisition, underscoring the authority's initiative to decentralize its services and ensure that all drivers meet the necessary requirements for certification.
