Sunyani: Mr Seid Mubarak, the Member of Parliament for Sunyani East Constituency, is developing a cancer treatment centre at the Sunyani Municipal Hospital. Once completed, the facility will be equipped with contemporary medical devices and equipment for cancer screening and treatment services. Mr Mubarak disclosed this initiative during his ‘thank you tour’ at the Living Grace Ministries International located in Fiapre within the Sunyani West Municipality.
According to Ghana News Agency, the MP emphasized that the tour aimed to express gratitude to constituents for their support of him and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 General Election. He reiterated his commitment to prioritizing health, assuring constituents of his efforts to address their health needs. He also encouraged the community to maintain environmental cleanliness to prevent communicable diseases. Bishop Dr Richard Owusu Akyeaw, Founder and General Overseer of the Living Grace Ministry, advised politicians to focus on enhancing the welfare of their communities.
Bishop Dr Akyeaw highlighted that leadership should involve serving and caring for communal needs, encouraging leaders to see their roles as opportunities to improve socio-economic conditions rather than mere privileges. He urged Mr Mubarak to maintain humility and selflessness, emphasizing that constituents seek progressive developments that enhance their lives.
The MP was accompanied on his tour by Mr Vincent Antwi Agyei, the Sunyani Municipal Chief Executive, along with other NDC constituency executives.
