Sunyani: The Sunyani Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) has successfully retrieved GH?14 million in outstanding debts from its customers through a recent revenue mobilization and loss control exercise conducted in the area.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Eugene Odoi Addo, the Sunyani Area Manager for NEDCo, disclosed that the exercise, which spanned two weeks, was part of an effort to recover GHC20 million in outstanding electricity bills. During an interview in Sunyani, Mr. Addo described the initiative as successful, noting that their revenue mobilization and loss control team managed to recover significant arrears from debtors.

He further explained that the exercise aligns with NEDCo's ongoing strategy to bolster its financial standing and minimize power losses. Mr. Addo emphasized that the company intends to continue applying pressure on defaulting customers to ensure compliance.

Additionally, Mr. Addo urged customers to pay their bills regularly and promptly to ensure an uninterrupted power supply. This, he noted, would enable NEDCo to enhance its operations. He also mentioned plans for conducting a similar exercise by the end of the year to further address outstanding debts.
