A statement signed by Fati Ali Yallah, Counsel for the Fosu Family, said, "Daddy Lumba was more than a musician; he was a cultural icon whose music touched countless lives." The family's announcement highlighted his impact on fans, noting that "his soulful voice provided the soundtrack to our love stories, and his poignant lyrics captured the poetry of our struggles, dreams, and resilience."During this time of immense loss, the family has requested privacy as they navigate their grief. The statement also mentioned that details of the funeral arrangements would be shared in the coming days.Born on September 29, 1964, Daddy Lumba is considered a Highlife Hall of Famer, with many music fans hailing him as the greatest Ghanaian musician of all time. He began his musical career in the 1980 s with the release of his debut album, 'Yeeye Aka Akwantuo,' in collaboration with Nana Acheampong as the Lumba Brothers.
