STMA Allocates GHS 13 Million for Development Projects

Sekondi: The Government, through the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), has disbursed GHS 13,167,736 for development projects across the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA)'s three constituencies. The Assembly plans to invest in 21 capital projects in accordance with the directives of the Fund managers.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Fredrick Faidoo, the Metropolitan Chief Executive, emphasized at a symbolic sod-cutting ceremony at Sekondi Model School the government's commitment to enhancing livelihoods and social amenities to make life more comfortable for citizens. The Assembly aims to construct two Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compounds, drill 10 boreholes, paint offices, fence a school, and build public or school WCs, as well as KG, Primary, and JHS blocks as immediate interventions within the constituencies.

Mr. Faidoo stated, "We will bring development to the people and one that will affect your lives positively." Mr. Ben Aidoo of the Assembly confirmed that all procurement processes had been completed, with contractors ready to commence work on the projects.
