Standard Chartered Bank Declares GHS227.94 Million Dividend at 55th AGM

Accra: Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC has announced a total dividend payout of GHS227.94 million to its shareholders at its 55th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Accra. The meeting was convened to present the bank's Annual Report and Financial Statements for the year ending December 31, 2024.

According to Ghana News Agency, the dividend payout includes GHS1.67 per ordinary share, totaling GHS225.16 million, alongside GHS2.77 million in preference share dividends. The bank reiterated its commitment to building a resilient and sustainable business that provides long-term value amidst changing macroeconomic conditions.

Mr. Ebenezer Twum Asante, Chairman of the Board of Directors, highlighted the bank's strong foundation and proactive risk management strategies, emphasizing Standard Chartered's resilience against economic challenges. He noted the bank's robust business model, global brand recognition, and dedicated team as key factors in its ability to unlock shareholder value and sustain growth.

Mr. Asante further affirmed the bank's adherence to strong corporate governance and focus on operational resilience amid global uncertainties.
