Shama: Madam Emelia Arthur, Member of Parliament for Shama, has donated a brand-new pickup vehicle to the Shama Municipal Fire Service Station. The gesture fulfills a promise made to the Fire Service during her 2024 campaign to equip the service with essential tools and resources.
According to Ghana News Agency, Madam Arthur emphasized the importance of enhancing commitment to saving lives and properties during the handing over ceremony. 'I am pleased to support their operations and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on our community,' she stated.
Madam Arthur also addressed the poor state of the station building, noting that it would soon receive attention from the Municipal Chief Executive and the Assembly to undertake necessary renovation works.
Mr. Emmanuel Bonney, the District Fire Commander, assured that the vehicle would be used for its intended purpose, adding, 'Together, we can build a safer and more resilient community.'
