Send-off Service Honors Retired Bodi District Police Commander

SEFWI BODI: A send-off service was held to honor Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Michael Adjei Perry, who recently retired as the Sefwi Bodi District Police Commander in the Western North Region. The ceremony acknowledged his years of dedicated service and leadership in maintaining law and order in the district.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Perry expressed his gratitude to the chiefs and residents of Sefwi Bodi, as well as the police officers who served under him. In his address, he reflected on his career journey, which saw him rise from a Constable to the position of District Police Commander, attributing his success to the support of senior police officers and divine guidance. He also pledged to support his successor in continuing to ensure the safety and security of the community.

During the event, Nana Akwasi Ofori Ababio, the Chief of Sefwi Bodi, who chaired the occasion, commended the retired commander for his effective service, particularly during the 2024 general election. The chief highlighted the crucial role Mr. Perry played in preventing potential unrest and maintaining peace during the elections, expressing gratitude on behalf of the community for his outstanding contributions.

The send-off service was attended by members of the Clergy, senior and junior police officers from across the Western North Region, senior public and civil servants, and traditional rulers, among others, who gathered to pay tribute to Mr. Perry's distinguished career and service to the district.
