Sefwi-Wiawso Residents Mourn Victims of Military Helicopter Crash

Sefwi-wiawso: Residents of Sefwi-Wiawso, the Western North Regional capital, are in shock following the demise of eight persons, including government officials, in a military helicopter crash at Akrofum in the Ashanti Region. Speaking to Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Dwenase market near Wiawso, some market women and traders expressed disbelief, initially considering the news to be a false social media prank until the Presidency, through the chief of staff, confirmed the incident.

According to Ghana News Agency, the residents have described the crash as a national day of sorrow, emphasizing that such a tragedy should not occur again in the country. They urged everyone to seek divine intervention and grace in light of the event.

Some individuals attributed the tragic incident to biblical teachings about the end times, calling for introspection and divine favor during these challenging times. "I am devastated and cannot believe this is happening to Ghana," remarked an emotional trader, encapsulating the community's grief and disbelief.
