Southern ukraine: Two Russian ballistic missiles struck a Ukrainian army training site in southern Ukraine on Thursday, resulting in casualties, some fatal. The number of dead and injured has not yet been disclosed.
According to Ghana News Agency, "We express our condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed," the command of the Southern Army Group stated on Facebook. The attack occurred in a "relatively quiet part" of the country despite security measures taken to protect the troops, the post read.
Ukraine has been defending itself against a full-scale Russian invasion for more than three and a half years. Russia has repeatedly targeted large gatherings of Ukrainian soldiers with missiles during this time.
