Accra: Prudential Bank has extended its support to the Paediatric Department of the 37 Military Hospital with a donation of GHS20,000 aimed at settling medical bills for over 30 children. The gesture is part of the bank's ongoing activities to demonstrate care and support for children receiving treatment at the facility.
According to Ghana News Agency, the initiative was led by a team from the Marketing and Corporate Affairs Department of Prudential Bank, with Mr. Bennet Frimpong, the Head of Public Relations, spearheading the delegation. In addition to the financial support, the team distributed chocolates to the children and provided piggy banks to encourage them to cultivate a habit of saving.
Madam Jamilla Disu, Brand Manager at Prudential Bank, emphasized the institution's commitment to social responsibility and its mission to positively impact society. She expressed hope that the donation would significantly benefit the children and their families.
Dr. Sheila Asamoah Okyere, the Acting Head of the Paediatric Department, accepted the donation on behalf of the hospital and conveyed her gratitude. She highlighted the importance of such contributions and encouraged further support for the department. Dr. Okyere reassured the bank's management that the funds would be allocated appropriately and appealed for ongoing annual donations to the 37 Military Hospital.
