Accra: President John Dramani Mahama has nominated 10 individuals to serve as Regional Ministers, pending vetting and approval by Parliament. The 10 nominees represent the first batch of 16 Regional Ministers expected to be appointed by the President.
According to Ghana News Agency, the nominations were announced on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, by Mr. Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Acting Spokesperson for the President. The nominees are Ali Adolf John for Northern, John Kwadwo Gyapong for Oti, James Gunu for Volta, Mrs. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey for Eastern, Ibrahim Tia for North-East, Dr. Frank Amoakohene for Ashanti, Akamugri Donatus Atanga for Upper East, Charity Gardiner for Ahafo, Salisu Be-Awuribe for Savannah, and Linda Ocloo, MP, for Greater Accra.
