Accra: The Ghana Police Service has arrested a man captured in a viral video assaulting a young man with a cutlass near a fuel tanker: The suspect, Dawuda Sumaila, a driver, was identified as the assailant.

According to Ghana News Agency, the release stated that Sumaila was apprehended on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, through an intelligence-led operation. The incident occurred on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Anyinam in the Eastern Region. The suspect is currently assisting the police with their investigation.
