Accra: The Ghana Police Service has arrested a man captured in a viral video assaulting another person with a machete near a fuel tanker. The suspect, Dawuda Sumaila, who works as a tanker driver's mate, was apprehended on April 9, 2025, following an intelligence-led operation.
According to Ghana News Agency, the police confirmed in a statement issued on Thursday, April 10, that Sumaila is currently in custody assisting with investigations into the incident. The violent occurrence took place on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Anyinam in the Eastern Region.
