Elder Simon Kwao Abofra, Assistant Director of Prisons and Officer in charge of the Tarkwa Local Prison, acknowledged the Church’s generosity and assured that the Centre would be effectively utilized to train inmates, facilitating their reintegration into society.

Apostle Dr. David Nyansah Hayfron, the Area Head, shared that the project was initiated under the leadership of Apostle Dr. Daniel Okyere Walker. G
roundbreaking for the project took place on June 12, 2024, prior to Apostle Walker’s retirement. The Centre is intended to equip inmates with valuable carpentry and electrical skills, aiming to make them employable and self-reliant upon release. This effort is part of a broader strategy to reduce recidivism and crime rates within the country.
