Accra: The New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Mr Patrick Yaw Boamah, has contributed 250 packs of bottled water and an undisclosed amount of money to the Ghana Pentecostal Charismatic Council (GPCC). This donation is intended to support the council's 2025 National Delegates Conference.
According to Ghana News Agency, the donation, made on Tuesday in Accra, aligns with Mr Boamah's promise to annually assist the Christian community, similar to the support extended to the Muslim community. Mr Boamah emphasized that this gesture will be a yearly commitment to foster interfaith harmony and cooperation within Ghana.
Apostle Eric Kwabena Nyamekye, the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost and President of GPCC, expressed his gratitude to Mr Boamah for the donation, acknowledging it as a meaningful act of goodwill towards the Christian community. "Your donation is a gesture of goodwill and support for the Christian community, highlighting the importance of interfaith harmony and cooperation in Ghana," he remarked.
The upcoming National Delegates Conference, scheduled for Wednesday, June 25, 2025, will gather delegates from various Pentecostal and Charismatic churches across Ghana. The event aims to address pressing issues within the community and chart a path forward for its wellbeing.
