One Gold Shop Robbery Suspect Arrested at Mpohor

Mpohor: The Western Regional Police Command has arrested one suspect in connection with a gold buying shop robbery incident at Mpohor in the Fiase-Mpohor District.

According to Ghana News Agency, a statement signed by Superintendent Olivia Adiku, Head of Public Affairs for the Western Regional Police Command, indicated that the police were on a manhunt for other individuals involved in the robbery.

The statement revealed that the Western Regional Police Command is actively pursuing a gang of armed robbers who attacked a gold buying shop, making away with an unspecified amount of money and injuring one person during the incident in the Mpohor District. The robbery took place on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

Additionally, the statement confirmed that the injured victim is responding to treatment, and the apprehended suspect is currently assisting the police with their investigations. The police assured the public that the perpetrators would be brought to justice.
