MoSAAG Celebrates Achievements with Awards and Dinner Night

Accra: The MoFCOM Scholars Alumni Association of Ghana (MoSAAG), representing former students of China, organized an awards, dinner, and handing over ceremony to honor its members. The event, held on Saturday night, aimed to recognize the efforts of Chinese Old Students for their contributions to the association's success.

According to Ghana News Agency, the ceremony saw Mr. Sualah Yzid Zougrana, the outgoing President, and Mr. Li Yaohong, Chinese Economic and Commercial Consular, among the awardees for their role in framing the association's constitution. In his address, Mr. Zougrana expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead and acknowledged the support from the Chinese Embassy's Economic and Commercial section. He urged the incoming executives to build upon the foundation laid by the outgoing leadership.

Mr. Zougrana emphasized the importance of leveraging the association's intellectual membership, which includes managers, directors, and politicians, to further its growth. Mr. Leonard Edem Cosmos, the new President of MoSAAG, conveyed his appreciation for the trust placed in him and committed to serving the best interests of the association. He encouraged members to collaborate on upcoming activities.

Mr. Li Yaohong highlighted the mutual relationship between Ghana and China, noting cultural similarities such as respect for the elderly. He stressed the importance of strengthening friendships as more Ghanaians pursue studies in China, supporting and enriching the alumni network.
