Rabat: His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, has issued instructions for the dispatch of emergency humanitarian and medical aid to the Palestinian people, with a focus on the Gaza Strip.
According to Ghana News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates stated that the support, totaling nearly 180 tons, includes basic foodstuffs, milk, children's products, as well as medicines and surgical equipment for the most vulnerable populations.
The aid also comprises blankets, suitable tents, and other necessary equipment. It will be transported via a specially arranged route to ensure rapid and direct delivery to Palestinian beneficiaries.
This initiative reflects the ongoing solidarity and commitment of Morocco, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, to the Palestinian cause. It underscores Morocco's dedication to supporting the Palestinian people in their time of need, as highlighted by the statement.
In March 2024, Morocco initiated a groundbreaking effort by transporting approximately 40 tons of humanitarian aid shipments to Gaza by land via Israel, following air transit to Tel Aviv. The Kingdom was the first to achieve this logistical breakthrough to Gaza and Al-Quds.
