Accra: Mr. Prosper Addo, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Krachi West in the Oti Region, has spearheaded an initiative in partnership with a Coalition of Philanthropists to improve the educational environment at Odomakoma M/A Primary School.
According to Ghana News Agency, the coalition, comprising Ceciyaa Foundation, the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS), and Mr. Paul Ekow Gyimah, contributed a variety of teaching and learning materials to the school.
The donation included sanitary pads, toilet rolls, liquid soap, life jackets, and a speedboat to aid transportation across water bodies. The group also made a financial contribution towards building a new teachers' office and a library for the school.
During the presentation, Mr. Addo addressed the community, reaffirming his commitment to enhancing education in the Municipality. He highlighted the importance of education as fundamental to youth development and urged students to focus on their studies and respect their teachers.
The MCE assured the residents of Odomakoma that the Assembly, in collaboration with its philanthropic partners, would continue to support the community by completing the ongoing school building project and providing desks to create a better learning environment for the pupils.
