Krachi east: Mr. Nelson Kofi Djabab, the Member of Parliament for Krachi East Constituency, has extended heartfelt condolences to constituents affected by the tragic fuel tanker accident in Asukawkaw, which claimed four lives and left many others injured. In a statement, the MP expressed sympathy to the bereaved families and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
According to Ghana News Agency, the legislator also sympathized with the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Safo Nketia, and the President of Akroso Traditional Council, Nana Odam-Gyamfi over the tragic incident. Mr. Djabab further expressed gratitude to the leadership of the National Democratic Congress in the constituency for their prompt response in mourning with the people of Akroso after the incident.
The MP urged the community to stand together during this difficult time and assured constituents of continued support. On behalf of the NDC party, the MP cautioned the public, particularly Krachi East constituents who live along the roadside, to be careful and vigilant.
The legislature also urged drivers to exercise caution when descending the Asukawkaw mountain and approaching town, noting that many lives had been lost on the mountain due to various factors.
